The Book Blogger Memory Tag

This is one of the many “tag” posts I found months ago that I saved for when I had more time.

The Rules

  1. Thank the person who tagged you – Well nobody tagged me, but I did get the idea from Captivated-By-Fantasy so I should at least give her credit and link back to the post!
  2. Answer the questions.  Don’t search for the answers on line.  Use your memory – This might be problematic because my memory is really shitty lately, but I’ll give it a try.
  3. Tag people to do the tag – I’m going to take CBF’s route and leave this open for anyone who wants to do it now, later, or at all.
  • Name a book written by an author named Michael.

It’s the first author/book that popped into my head.

  • Name a book with a dragon on the cover.

Captivated By Fantasy used my first choice The Ice Dragon by the same author hehe.  I really should try to think of a book by another author, but I did warn you that my memory was shot.

  • Name a book about a character called George.

What’s with the “George?”  Dammit!  Captivated By Fantasy already used George Weasley D:  Hm, okay, let me put my thinking cap on.  Ah!  Grandpa George from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.  I can’t think of any stories where the main character is named George.

  • Name a book written by an author with the surname Smith.

Loved this book growing up.  It was one of those “animal stories” that I was so fond of.  Eh, I guess his surname is technically “King-Smith,” but I’m not going to split (cat) hairs.  They rarely draw cats with slit pupils or entirely slit pupils when they’re the protagonist #observation

  • Name a book set in Australia

I don’t even know.  I have read myths/stories about the aborigines, which would obviously be set there, but I don’t know any exact titles.

  • Name a book with the name of a month in the title

Blanking here, too.  Aren’t I fun?  I can think of plenty of songs with a month in the title (“January Girl” by Tori Amos, “Wake Me Up When September Ends,” by Green Day), and even band names (October Project), but books ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

  • Name a book with a knife on the cover

  • Name a book with the word “one” in the title

Hopefully it still counts in the plural.

  • Name a book with an eponymous title

  • Name a book turned into a movie

There are so many that would fit this bill.

Oh that’s it?  Whew, that was tougher than advertised.

Feel free to do this tag if you want!

    1. I just could not think of a book that takes place in Australia, but I KNOW I’ve read one. I just kept coming back to The Rescuers Down Under, which isn’t a book (I don’t think?? It might be based on one, who knows). I really wanted to use the Google, but I refused to cheat. I did look at my own bookshelf, but it didn’t say I couldn’t do that 🙂
